Who we are
Hi, I’m Jamie Roberts—founder of Digiport and a lifelong tech enthusiast. My journey in IT started early, running cables and building PCs with my dad when I was just 13. By 18, I was working full-time in his computer shop, Icon Computers on Malpas Road—and a few years later, I proudly took over the business.
Life took an exciting turn when I pursued my dream of being a 'rock star'. My band was signed to Warner Brothers Publishing and Threesixzero Management, which led me to sell the business and hit the road for two unforgettable years.
After the music chapter, I returned to IT with fresh energy, working as a technical engineer in the NHS. Over time, I moved into more advanced technical and management roles—but I missed the hands-on, personal side of the industry. That’s what inspired me to start Digiport.
Now, I get to combine my years of technical experience with my genuine love for working directly with people. Whether you’re a small business looking for reliable IT support or someone who just needs help making their tech work for them, I’m here—and I’m excited to be part of your journey.
